A restaurant in Rovinj received the first Michelin star of Croatia
The Monte in Rovinj,Croatia, set on the coast of the Istrian peninsula, is the first restaurant in Croatia to receive a Michelin star.
The restaurant’s momentous accolade was announced yesterday, with the critics praising the team at Monte for the subtle flavours in their dishes and the cool, contemporary environment they have created within Rovinj’s picturesque old town.
“Creative and sometimes theatrical, their kitchen is also surprising, with the use of modern techniques to create beautifully presented, tasty dishes,” reads the report in the Michelin guide. (MTI)
