The investor sentiment in the euro area deepened in May
As a result of uncertainties surrounding the introduction of US tariffs and due to the intensifying protectionism, the investor sentiment in the euro area continued to deteriorate in May, according to a statement issued by the Sentix Economic Research Institute in Berlin on Monday.
The investor mood index dropped to 19.2 points from the 19.6 points of April. Analysts expected 21.1 points for May. The index dropped for the fourth consecutive month, and May was the lowest since February 2017. (MTI)
