The German business sentiment has deteriorated
In May, the German business sentiment index of the Ifo Institute for Economic Research of the University of Munich deteriorated with a greater extent than expected.
According to a survey conducted by the ifo institute of research (ifo Institut – Leibniz-Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung an der Universität München e.V.) carried out with the participation of about nine thousand German companies, the total business sentiment index of the German economy dropped to 97.9 points in May from the 99.2 points of April.
