German business sentiment deteriorated
The ifo Economic Research Institute’s German business sentiment index for August has declined. The German companies have become clearly pessimistic about their business situation and outlook.
According to the institute's report issued on Thursday, the business sentiment index fell to 106.2, from the 108.3 points of July, which is the lowest level since February. Analysts expected an improvement of 108.5 points. (MTI)
