GfK’s German consumer sentiment index deteriorated
The GfK Nuremberg Economic Research Institute’s consumer sentiment index in Germany fell slightly more than expected, to a three-year low, and consumers’ willingness to buy and their economic and income expectations worsened.
According to GfK’s forecast released on Friday, the consumer sentiment index plunged to 9.6 points, its lowest level since November 2016, from the 9.9 points in October, revised to 9.8 points.
The index stood at 9.7 points in August and September. Analysts predicted 9.8 points for November. (MTI)
