Economic sentiment in the euro area deteriorated in March
The economic sentiment index in the euro area and the European Union weakened as consumer sentiment deteriorated due to the Russian war against Ukraine.
The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, DG EcFin, said on Wednesday that the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) in the euro area had fallen by 5.4 points to 108.5 points. In the European Union, the economic sentiment index weakened by 5.3 points to 107.5 points. (MTI)
