Consumer confidence declined in the United States in October
After the slight increase of the previous month, the consumer confidence index dropped significantly in the United States in October – the Conference Board economic institute announced on Tuesday.
The Consumer Confidence Index fell to 97.6 points in October, from the 102.6 points of the previous month. The analysts forecasted a slight improvement of 103.0 points in October.
The assessment of the current situation index declined to 112.1 points from 120.3 points, while the expected outlook index decreased to 88.0 points from the 90.8 points of September. (MTI)
