Retail sales increased by more than 13 percent in the first half of the year in Romania
The increase calculated from raw data does not include sales of cars and motorcycles.
According to the seasonally and calendar-adjusted value, the expansion was 11.6 percent.
The increase was mainly attributable to non-food products: 21.4 percent more of these (according to raw data) were sold. Sales of fuels increased by 14.7 percent and those of food products by 4.9 percent, compared to the first half of last year. (Baranyi László, MTI)
