Retail sales in Romania rose 2.2 percent last year
In Romania, the volume of retail sales increased by 2.2 percent last year compared to the previous year – the Romanian National Statistics Institute said on Thursday.
The increase, according to raw data, was mainly due to non-food products, whose sales increased by 5.6 percent, but also 5 percent more food products were sold. At the same time, fuel sales fell 8 percent. The statistical office did not provide a seasonally and calendar-adjusted value for the full year. (MTI)
