The government plans to open indoor restaurants in Romania
In Romania, the number of newly diagnosed coronavirus infections fell for the first time last week, and the government is considering allowing the interior part of restaurants to open – Prime Minister Ludovic Orban announced on Monday.
“Now we can say we have stopped the acceleration of the pandemic,” the prime minister noted, referring to the fact that, after several months of rising trend, it was the first time in Romania that fewer cases had been registered than in the previous week: Between 17 and 23 August, only 8,044 new infections were diagnosed in the country.
