Romania: the mall fever supersedes the small shops
In the past four years, 6,500 stores have been terminated in Romania, and the trend continues.
Beside the decrease in purchasing power, the other reason for the phenomenon is the mall fever began in 2005-07.
The foreign retail chains now trading in a value of 8 billion euros per year. It is half of the total retail sales – reports Világgazdaság Online.
