The growing area of the red pepper is decreasing rapidly

The Hungarian spice paprika production is drifting towards a crisis according to Németh József President and Chief Executive of the Kalocsai Fűszerpaprika Zrt. and board member of the National Red Pepper Marketing Board. He told that that the arable land decreased tenfold, compared to 25 years before and only about 200 enterprises and 800 small farmers are producing paprika in Hungary. (Népszabadság Online)
