There can also be a rush for groceries on Black Friday
While in previous years mainly household appliances and electronic devices were the hit products of Black Friday, this year, in the difficult economic situation, food sales will also come to the fore. As a result of inflation, the population has become particularly price sensitive, so discounts are sought with redoubled force not only in stores, but also online. Zsolt Csikós, head of Coop Online Kft. and managing director of the online store Cooponline.hu, said that the market now demands that customers be served with special promotions, regular customer discounts and programs that encourage purchases.
Black Friday, which started in the United States of America, is now traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in Hungary as well. This year, this day falls on November 25, but many companies await customers with amazing sales even in the week before that.
According to the trends so far, technical products can be extremely sought after this year, including small household appliances, televisions and refrigerators, and before the coronavirus epidemic, clothes and fashion items can once again be at the forefront of shopping on Black Friday.
What is expected to be a completely new item on the top demand list is food in general. Zsolt Csikós, managing director of the 100 percent Hungarian-owned online store Cooponline.hu, said that due to inflation, people are looking for the best value for money products both in stores and when shopping online, and on Black Friday, they are even more active in the pursuit of savings. this will be the trend.
