Robots will cultivate a farm
We are at the beginning of a new industrial revolution that will transform agriculture radically. Automatic disconnectors, autopilots and drones are only the beginning, because the first parcel of land in England that will be cultivated without a human touch was situated.
A hectare of a land will be cultivated without direct human intervention, with remote-controlled robots in England. There will be no operators nor agronomists who will personally inspect the land. The leaders of the experiment will fully entrust the drones, the data and information collected by sensors and a variety of precision tools, and will try to make informed decisions based on them. This will be the first such attempt in the world, although the technology necessary for implementation has been there for quite some time. (agrarszektor.hu)
