Overhead-reducing artificial intelligence: LG presented an exciting vision of the future at IFA
At the 2024 IFA exhibition, LG Electronics (LG) presented a vision of the future that makes smart homes not only more comfortable, but also more caring and rich in experience. The technology solutions presented focused on LG’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based developments that help in various areas of everyday life, including improving the quality of life of the elderly, children and pets.
Caring Intelligent Homes
At LG’s booth, visitors were the first to experience the LED media wall called AI Home Gate, which visually demonstrated how LG’s AI ecosystem works in practice. One of the main technological innovations was the LG ThinQ ON Hub, which uses artificial intelligence to connect various home appliances, IoT devices and services. This central control unit continuously learns about user habits and offers solutions tailored to individual needs.
Affectionate Intelligence – A New Level of Caring
Through various exhibition zones, LG demonstrated how artificial intelligence can personalize everyday life. The Affectionate Home zone focused on the care of children and pets. The self-controlling AI Home Hub, for example, adjusts environmental conditions to children’s sleeping habits, while using generative AI it can create stories from children’s drawings. In addition, the cat bed combined with the AeroCat air purifier for cats provides comfort and clean air for pets and their owners.
Energy-saving Smart Home Solutions
Another prominent area of the exhibition was the Smart Green Home zone, where LG’s technologies for increasing energy efficiency were presented. Intelligent systems optimize energy use in real time, taking into account the daily routine of residents and changes in electricity prices. This not only protects the environment, but also reduces household costs.
