Soon winter is over and after the rather slow January-February period, the Hungarian food industry will speed up again. General expectation is that the sector’s output will continue to increase in 2017. K&H’s consumer confidence index reached a 12-year peak and is in the positive. In comparison with December, food prices elevated by 0.6 percent at the beginning of the new year.
Luckily, thanks to the increase in real wages, people have a bit more money to spend. The trends of the last few years showed: those companies can profit from this situation which are able to renew, who come out with innovative products and creative promotion campaigns. Online communication is more and more important. A real good offer can deter even the most conscious customer from their buying plan – who dares wins!
