Many gas stations in Hungary are affected by the government’s unexpected announcement
The government will continue to support small gas stations, for this purpose it has set aside HUF 18.5 billion – said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for the food industry and trade policy at a press conference in Budapest. Márton Nobilis added that the operator of the support program will open the possibility of applications this week, and applicants will be able to receive the new support as early as August.
In March of this year, the government introduced the subsidy program for small gas wells, according to which they receive a non-refundable state subsidy of HUF 20 per liter – the state secretary reminded. He indicated: he also informed Gábor Egri, the president of the Association of Independent Gas Stations (FBSZ), about the continuation of the support. Gábor Egri was present at the press conference, and at the end of the event he thanked the government for “hearing their cries for help”. Márton Nobilis added that the operator of the support program will open the possibility of applications this week, and applicants will be able to receive the new support as early as August.
