Pig farmers receive extraordinary support
The Ministry of Agriculture will provide huf 4 billion in extraordinary support to pig skup holders, Minister of Agriculture István Nagy announced. In order for the sector’s survival in the difficult situation, the Ministry of Agriculture announces a new support programme for farmers with a budget of HUF 4 billion. Within this framework, based on preliminary calculations, pig farmers can receive a one-off grant of HUF 20,000 per sow, using the possibilities of EU regulations on transitional subsidies applicable in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, István Nagy stressed.
