Record performance by agriculture
This February the agricultural production price index broke all previous inflation records with a 47.5 percent performance. KSH’s quick report indicates that vegetable product prices surged by 67.9 percent and the prices of livestock and products of animal origin grew by 13.3 percent in one year. Wheat’s procurement price has been growing since April 2010 and by February 2011 it reached HUF 73.4/kg. Potato and vegetables prices were up 68.9 and 13.1 percent, respectively. Slaughter livestock prices were 12.2 percent higher in February 2011 than a year earlier.
