Spending a record amount in the summer season with K&H SZÉP cards
K&H SZÉP card holders used more than HUF 9 billion during the summer months, which represents a significant increase of 5 percent compared to the previous year. Among the most popular summer travel destinations for card holders, the cities of Balaton are at the top, Siófok, Balatonfüred and Sárvár were the most popular locations.
Annual turnover of more than HUF 20 billion
In the first eight months of the year, the total turnover of K&H SZÉP cards exceeded HUF 20.6 billion, although this is 2 percent lower compared to the same period last year. During the summer, cardholders used up their balances especially in the spa towns, spending the most in Siófok, Balatonfüred and Sárvár. Hajdúszoboszló was also among the most popular locations, while Nyíregyháza was the only one among the non-spa towns to make it into the top 5.
Increasing benefits in the summer months
Summer recreation was supported not only by spending, but also by top-ups, as nearly HUF 8 billion were credited to cardholders in the three months, which represents a 7 percent increase compared to the same period last year. During the first eight months of the year, employers provided a total of HUF 20.4 billion in benefits to SZÉP cards, which shows a 9 percent increase compared to last year’s data.
