A record amount of over 327 tons of food was donated by SPAR buyers to people in need
During the 23rd Donating is a Joy! Christmas fundraising campaign of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and SPAR, the customers of the supermarket chain bought more than 327 tons of durable food products to people in need. Thanks to the initiative, the staff of the charity foundation delivered more than 31,000 gift packages to people in need before the holiday.
In the Christmas gathering held between 12 and 17 December this year, nearly three thousand volunteers from the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service accepted donations from customers in 172 SPAR and INTERSPAR stores.
