Eger’s tourism closed a record year last year
Last year, Eger’s tourism closed a record-breaking year: the number of guest nights increased by nearly 5.5 percent, compared to the previous year – the Mayor of the city told MTI on Friday.
According to Habis László, in 2018 about 666 thousand guest nights were registered in Eger in 2018, exceeding the data of 2017 with more than 34 thousand.
The expansion has been unbroken since 2013 and reached 64 percent within five years. He added that during this time, the average number of guest nights spent by a visitor rose from 2.3 to 2.9. (MTI)
