A record amount of cooking oil was recollected during the campaign MOL

MOL’s “Thanks for the oil, we offer you a party!” campaign has ended. The main prizes, a grand street parade was won by Budapest, Szeged and Miskolc. During the promotional period a record amount of recollection was born.This August, nearly 13.5 tons of used cooking oil was recollected by the people.

MOL organizes the recollection and exploitation of used cooking oil for two years in order to convince more people not to throw out cooking oil at home. According to the statisctics, in Hungary only 14 – 15 percent of the used cooking oils are recollected. In 2011, the collected household grease could be brought to 100 gas-stations countrywide, now this number is 170.
