György Raskó: galloping food inflation will stop within weeks
According to agricultural economist György Raskó, galloping food inflation will stop, it’s only a matter of weeks. And the reason for this is precisely the high cost and the resulting drop in demand.
“There are more and more indications that the volume of food sales will drop very drastically in January, for Hungarian-owned convenience stores, this drop is over 20%, which is a huge drop. There is no greater tool to curb inflation”
– said the specialist in ATV Hírado.
György Raskó added that the current prices will also decrease, he expects a 15-20% decrease especially for dairy products around April-May.
