Operating costs of office buildings can be radically reduced
Just in the most critical period, the solar system operating on the buildings of the real estate development and management company Alfa Group radically reduced the operating costs of the tenants. Properly sized parks mean annual savings of tens of millions and predictable operating costs, while also radically reducing the building’s ecological footprint.
The biggest problem with home solar systems (HMKE) is that they do not produce when the energy is needed. Between production and use, the energy is either “stored” in the network, which makes the investor very vulnerable to the legal environment and the network operator, or they build their own battery capacity, which in turn raises the price of the projects to uneconomical heights – pointed out Ohad Epschtein, with real estate investment head of the Alfa Group.
On the other hand, in office or commercial properties, everything is “in place”, i.e. the demand that occurs almost exclusively from morning to afternoon and, according to experience, hardly fluctuates within a month or so, roughly coincides with the production period. A properly sized solar panel system can cover the needs of the office building almost continuously from spring to autumn, the amount of energy taken from the grid is just as minimal as the surplus produced.
