OPUS GLOBAL Plc. has published its sustainability report.
OPUS GLOBAL Plc. has published its third sustainability report on its own activities and subsidiaries. In recent years, OPUS GLOBAL Plc. has made industrial production, energy, tourism, and agriculture and the food industry the strategic pillars of its economic activities. This has made the group of companies particularly crisis-resistant and stable not only economically but also from a sustainability perspective.
The OPUS Group is a future-oriented, innovative, result- and quality-oriented industrial production and service group of companies, headed by OPUS GLOBAL Plc., which deals with the management and asset management of companies operating in various industries. The member companies employ a total of 5,279 employees, primarily in Hungary.
OPUS GLOBAL Plc. considers the continuous development of ESG values in its services to be an important sustainability-related goal. This year’s report demonstrates the company’s responsible approach to ESG and the inclusion of ESG considerations in its investment strategy. Thanks to this, the company also considers its future investment opportunities based on ESG aspects.
The OPUS ENERGETIKA Group companies, which comprise the energy segment of OPUS GLOBAL Plc., aim to continuously improve security of supply, innovation and customer experience. OPTESZ OPUS Zrt., OPUS TIGÁZ Zrt. and OPUS TITÁSZ Zrt. focus on their employees and environmentally friendly solutions in addition to efficiency in their everyday operations and development planning. In 2024, they introduced ESG-based sustainability approach formation into employee education, with the aim of integrating these aspects into everyday work. They improved their efficiency and occupational safety by exploring synergies within the segment. They also prioritized their bird protection activities in 2024, and network development enabled innovative, environmentally friendly operations in the areas of plant management and smart metering. The results of the group’s hydrogen conversion research and development activities are expected next year.
OPUS GLOBAL’s Agriculture and Food Industry division includes two internationally prominent companies that produce raw materials from grain while achieving almost waste-free production. KALL Ingredients Kft. and VIRESOL Kft. continued their commitment in 2024 to ensure that as much of the raw materials as possible are utilized during processing, with the lowest possible waste generation. By using top-quality technology, the companies achieve the most efficient use of energy, almost waste-free production, and the highest environmental and safety standards. In addition to leveraging the synergies of the two companies, they implemented energy efficiency developments that allowed them to improve their technologies while increasing environmental awareness.
