Profession.hu: shop assistants and cashiers, and those working in trade and sales positions also apply for cleaning jobs
There is an increasing demand for skilled and manual workers, but there is a labor shortage in this area. Career abandonment is significant, players in various industries suck away the workforce from their original professions, while the impact of emigration can also be felt on the labor market: for example, the number of Hungarians working in Austria has almost tripled over the course of 10 years. In the current situation, conscious communication and properly targeted recruitment are increasingly important.

The motivation is financial, cashiers and salespeople also go to clean
Profession.hu has prepared its latest analysis of the labor market situation of skilled and manual workers. Examining the data from January 2019, a definite upward trend can be seen in the number of advertisements recruiting manual and skilled workers posted on the job portal: the demand for professionals in this category was higher by almost a third in August this year. At the same time, after a sudden rise in applications in the March-April and November-December 2020 periods, the average number of applications received per advertisement fell back to the level of 2019: there is currently a significant labor shortage.
Investigating the reasons behind the situation, Profession.hu conducted a survey among the affected employees: 90 percent of the respondents had already thought about leaving their careers, and 66 percent had taken steps to find a job in another field: they regularly apply for job advertisements for which they do not have the qualifications with the appropriate qualification.
