The committee, which consists of previous winners of the award and members of the organizing committee, decides on the winners based on the information gathered during the nomination process. Candidates’ biographies, media publications and other public sources of information are also taken into account. The specialty of the award is that it does not focus on projects, but on the work of professionals developing the industry and its perception, business ethics and adherence to professional standards. Only those who, in cooperation with their team and colleagues, have succeeded in leaving a mark in the field of public relations can receive the award.
Candidates for the award can be nominated by four communication associations since 2017: the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), the International Communication Consulting Organization (ICCO), The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
