Premium beers sell well
Although total sales of Carlsberg decreased by 4 percent in the 3rd quarter, the category of premium beers did very well. Volume sales of Tuborg were up 5 percent, Carlsberg’s sales grew by 1 percent, Grimbergen performed 7 percent better and 1664 Blanc’s volume sales skyrocketed with a 42-percent growth. Sales of craft and special beers grew by 34 percent.
