PPF: natural product ingredients is a strengthening trend
According to Ádám Szitai, general manager of Partner in Pet Food (PPF) Hungária Kft., the same trends that manifest in the human food segment also turn up in the pet food category. “Premiumisation, the use of various superfoods, natural ingredients, and being free from cereals are becoming more important in this segment too” – said the general manager.

PPF’s latest innovation is premium dry dog food Reno Optimal Life 5. Mr Szitai also revealed that they are already using the Hungarian Product trademark on the domestically made dry and canned pet foods that they manufacture for retail chains as private labels. The company is considering the move to mark its branded products with the Hungarian Product trademark, for instance Reno Optimal Life 5 which is made in Dombóvár. //
