Positive surprise: Hungarian economy increased by 1.7 percent last year
Despite the deterioration of external market, the Hungarian economy was able to provide positive performance in the last quarter of2011 on the basis of the preliminary datas of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Compared to the previous quarter, the GDP expanded by 0.3 percent more in the midst of recession fears, and compared to the same period of last year mprovement was 1.4 percent (on the basis of the adjusted datas: 1.5 percent), which is indicating the same dynamics as in the previous quarter. Analysts expected from 0.5 to 0.6 percentage points growth – reports MTI.
