Wine trading surplus
Data from the Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI) and KSH’s market price information system (PÁIR) revealed that Hungary’s live pig export fell 14 percent in the first quarter of 2018. In the same period live pig import climbed 2 percent. Our fresh egg export surged by 73 percent (263 tons); we sold the biggest quantity, 204 tons to Austria. M+L sized egg’s price at the place of packaging was up 2 percent at HUF 23.73/piece in Hungary.
Data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show that Hungary’s wine foreign trade balance (calculated without sparkling wine) was positive in terms of both volume and value in the first quarter of 2018. Export sales doubled in volume and they rose by 53 percent in value if compared with the same period of 2017. //
