Intermarché’s expansion in Portugal
France-based Les Mousquetaires has announced a large-scale expansion plan for its Intermarché stores in Portugal.
The retailer plans to invest EUR 200 million in opening 105 stores by 2023. EUR 60 million is planned to be invested in 2019, with 15 new store openings. In 2018, the retailer invested EUR 30 million in its operations and opened 9 stores. Intermarché plans to create 3,150 new jobs by 2023. The company will focus on everyday low prices on over 1,000 products.
