This year Lidl Belgium unveils 11 meat alternatives in its Veggie and Vegan product lines. Lidl France debuted with the first milk carton made of plant-based plastic. Sales by Ahold Delhaize surpassed expectations in all of the 11 countries where the chain is present, reaching EUR 74.7 billion – a 14.2-percent growth in comparison with the previous year. Carrefour’s performance is the best of the last 20 years, as sales have grown by 7.8 percent to EUR 70.7 billion. //
