The mangalica festival begins on Friday
On the 9th of February, the 11th Budapest Mangalica Festival will open its gates for three days of free-to-air event that awaits the visitors with live animal exhibitions, mangalica products, a producer market, cooking competitions, concerts and children’s programs – Végh Attila, organizer of the event told M1 news channel.
Végh Attila emphasized: the great sensation of the year that a practically extinct species, the black mangalica, has been revived by serious animal breeding and gene preservation work, these animals will be also presented at the Budapest Festival with the other three varieties.
The organizer also indicated that there is a great international interest towards the Hungarian blood line of mangalica pigs. (MTI)
