Penny Market: a fine for trappista cheese
The Economic Competition Authority fined Penny Market Ltd. to 33 million HUF, because the company made unfair practices against consumers in connection with its “13 years of action”, took place in June 2009.
According to the Economic Competition Authority; the company "published a bait advertising" in connection with trappista and limited the quantities of promotional products available. Therefore, the company received a fine of 30 million HUF
The Economic Competition Authority fined the discount chain to 3 million HUF in another case also – reports Portfolio.hu.
