Critical situation in the pig sector
The Hungarian Association of Pig Breeders (MSSZ) told that the pig breeders are ready to demostrate, because of the critical situation of the Hungarian pig sector.
The price of live pigs decreased significantly in the past six months, while the feed prices increased because of the bad weather. Due to the losses, another wave of slaughter started.
The Ministry in its reply stated that the government is committed to solve the situation, but also criticised the President of MSSZ who was the agri adviser of the previous government – reports szabadfold.hu.
