The introduction of the hamburger tax would be unprecedented
The price of coke, chips, energy drinks, fast food, but even coffee and some cheese may increase by ten to twenty HUF, if the government adopts the so-called hamburger tax. Based on informations, the government does not focus on detering from harmful foods but on gaping holes in the health budget.
If it is introduced, then – as the Portfolio.hu drew attention in a previous article – Hungary will be the first country to introduce the hamburger tax.. Although several countries, including Germany, France Romania were thinking about the concept, but none of them decided to introduce the health tax – reports origo.hu.
