Distilling pálinka started in Panyola back in the 1700s and when in 2002 Panyolai Szilvórium Zrt. was established, they started working with the same faith and devotion as the ancestors. CEO Gergely Lakatos told that Panyolai Pálinkas are made from the highest-quality fruits, using traditional recipes. Their first product line, Hungarian Product Grand Prize winner Panyolai Elixír is still the most popular one. Panyolai came home with prizes from several competitions (International Spirits Award, Premium Hungaricum, etc.) and earned the Superbrands recognition. Still, the company is most proud of the ‘Value and Quality’ special award that came at the same time as the Hungarian Product Grand Prize, because this recognition was awarded by the consumers.
