Change of course
Zsolt Litauszki (33) is regarded as one of the most promising young talents among Hungarian chefs, although he had spent most of his active years working in Austria. These years had served as an apprenticeship for him, resulting in becoming one of top fifty chefs in Austria and a potential Michelin star holder. Not long ago, he opened his own restaurant Maligán, which has quickly achieved general acclaim. This is why it is quite surprising that he is closing the restaurant at the end of March. – We have not gone bankrupt, It’s juts that one of my guests has made an offer which lead me to revise my plans. I will become a private chef – he explains. He is going to have a lot of free time, which he plans to spend visiting and working on a temporary basis for the best restaurants in Europe. Two of his regular guests, the editor of the Dutch Gault Millau and a professor from the University of London will help him in finding the best contacts in the profession.
