National Association of Pálinka Masters: the reputation of the quality pálinkas need to be increased
According to the vice president of the National Association of Pálinka Masters, the reputation of the quality pálinkas should be increased as well as the market share, both in Hungary and abroad.
Dúl Udó Endre told that the amount of pálinka is less than 10 percent of the spirits marketed in Hungary. In addition, the Hungarian distillate – which is made of 100% Hungarian fruits – is only known in the surrounding countries elsewhere in the world only occasionally. The Hungarian pálinka exports are estimated to be 2-3 percent of the annual amount of pálinka production. (MTI)
