MOHU MOL Hulladékgazdálkodási Zrt. will operate the DRS system, and they invited the representatives of the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) and the National Association of Tourism and Hospitality Employers (VIMOSZ) to discuss the system’s launch, and to ask the two bodies to start calling the attention of HoReCa units to the changes. Estimation is that 3.6 million 0.1-3 litre drink containers will be returned annually. The law obliges shops bigger than 400m² that sell drinks in such packaging to install a return vending machine (RVM). Hospitality units will have to take back the drink containers manually.
