The cherry cluster of Újfehértó is fifty years old
The cherry cluster was bred out the first time fifty years ago, which recaeived the protection of geographical indications of the European Union in February this year – was said at the v anniversary gala ceremony organized by the Zsindelyes Pálinkafőzde on Tuesday in Újfehértó, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county.
At the event, V. Németh Zsolt Minister of State responsible for Environmental Affairs, Agricultural Development and Hungaricums in his opening speech said that the Hungarian community and cherries have common history began long time ago and because of the geographical protection it ghas arrived to a new chapter.
