OTP: The turnover of electronic payments increased by 35 percent
In the first three months of the year, the turnover of electronic payments processed in OTP Bank’s systems fell by 5.5 percent compared to the previous quarter, but it increased by 34.9 percent year-on-year, in which inflation played a significant role, OTP Bank told MTI on Tuesday.
In the announcement, it was explained that there was a 6.4 percent decrease in the number of transactions in a quarterly comparison, but an annual increase of around 17 percent.
The number of POS terminals increased by 1.9 and 8.6 percent on a quarterly and annual basis, respectively. They pointed out that the SimpleBusiness application had a 161 percent increase in traffic on a quarterly basis and an 816 percent increase on an annual basis; 27.9 and 255.6 percent increase in the number of transactions; 9.4 and 35 percent growth for companies using the solution
