Bread can become more expensive by a fifth
Bread can be up to 20 percent more expensive, according to a bakery owner. Farmers ‘and mills’ raw material prices have risen, so they are forced to increase prices, so customers have to pay more for bakery products on the shelves, origo wrote after TV2.
TV2 visited a bakery in Karcag, where white bread costs 380 forints per kilo. Buyers also find this expensive, but expected prices to rise.
According to the owner of the bakery, the increase was announced by the mills at the beginning of the year, but was not raised at that time. (origo)
