Israeli scientists brewed beer from five thousand years old dried yeast residues, found by archaeologists in pots – The Jerusalem Post reported.
The relatively low alcohol content beer was a popular drink in antiquity used at celebrations, sport events or at feasts. The beer is spicy, slightly fruity and very complex in taste. (Shiri Zsuzsa, MTI)
