Visa: five payment trends to look out for in 2023
1. We will spend more on travelling: passenger turnover strengthened in 2022, and this trend is expected to continue in 2023.
2. More conscious consumers, more sustainable shopping: in another new Visa survey 69% of consumers said they would choose which retailer to buy from based on their circular economy performance.
3. Sharp rise in the number of tokens issued: by the end of August 2022 the Visa Token Service (VTS) issued more than 4 billion network tokens globally.
4. The winter of cryptocurrencies: Visa’s experts forecast that some of the cryptocurrency concepts won’t stand the test of time.
5. Scammers adapt to the “hybrid” world: a recent Visa survey has revealed that 58% of passengers are worried about being the victim of a credit or debit card fraud while travelling. //
