Péter Oszkó also sees the future in the Hungarian labor market
After Sharks, a well-known economist has also joined: Hungarian HR-tech startup targets 1 million employees
After Sharks’ investors, another heavyweight business player has voted in Giggle. Péter Oszkó’s venture capital fund, OXO Labs, part of the Dutch-based O3 Partners, joined the company together with three other investors at the end of 2025. The trust is no coincidence: the Hungarian startup already had a turnover of nearly 2 billion forints last year.
OXO Labs’ investment decision was based on the market experience that, amidst the current economic and geopolitical uncertainties, solutions that provide flexible responses to labor market challenges are gaining value. Giggle has proven with significant growth that it is able to create real-time labor market liquidity. Investors see great opportunity in expansion, which is why they decided to participate in the company’s further domestic and regional development.
On the Giggle app, job seekers and employers meet on a shift basis, and many refer to it as the Tinder of the workforce. The marketplace is managed with reviews, pre-screening and full administration, so supply and demand actually meet.
According to the company’s statements, 70% of employees are looking for additional sources of income, which is also supported by the interest in the platform: 180 thousand people registered for Giggle in three years. In 2025, transactions worth nearly 2 billion forints were processed on the platform, providing thousands of Hungarian households with extra income.
More and more market-leading companies are using the service, as consumer expectations are constantly increasing in the areas of trade, logistics and hospitality. Customers are using services less predictably and in an “instant” manner, and fluctuations caused by global supply chains and seasonality are becoming increasingly challenging.
In December, everyone could see in the news the disruption of a company’s service due to overload. In contrast, Giggle partners were able to manage peak periods smoothly thanks to the platform’s flexibility.
“When thousands of packages are delayed due to a lack of staff, it really becomes clear why Giggle is needed. The platform has workforce available within hours – this allows our partners to handle unexpected situations.” – believe the founders, Ádám Birizdó and Ádám Sebestyén, who are referred to in the company as “the two Adams”.
Giggle was launched in April 2022 as the idea of the two founders, Ádám Birizdó and Ádám Sebestyén – both of whom left behind serious professional careers in order to implement their own project. In three years, more than 180 thousand users and 3 thousand corporate partners have registered on the platform in Hungary and Romania, with active clients including JYSK, Rossmann, Marriott and Eventrend Group. More than 1 million hours have been worked on the platform so far, and the company’s labor rental and mediation activities are increasingly decisive in the labor market with a transaction value of nearly 2 billion forints in 2025.
With the help of the investment, they plan to further increase their partner base in existing markets over the next two years, preparing for further regional expansion. By the end of 2027, they plan to help 1 million employees find work, filling tens of thousands of shifts per month.
