More than 7 tons of waste collected from the Tisza will be recycled
Thanks to the joint work of the Ministry of Water and the PET Cup, a total of 22 tons of waste has been extracted and processed in the Upper Tisza in recent weeks.
For the sixth time, the water company launched the Hungarian-developed Vásárosnamény machine line, which managed to capture three-quarters of the total amount of waste coming from the Tisza. The PET Cup Rapid Response Waste Management Team sorted 7.1 tonnes of waste into a variety of materials, resulting in approximately more than 300,000 pieces compressed and baled for recycling – from PET bottles alone.
