Munch food rescue is available in every SPAR and INTERSPAR nationwide
After six months of testing, customers in all SPAR and INTERSPAR stores can now join the process of conscious food saving with the Munch application, through which they can get up to 66 percent cheaper, fast and convenient access to high-quality food.
Many families still believe that it is wrong to throw away food, but at the same time, it is a sad fact that one third of the food produced in the world is lost or becomes waste, and this means nearly 90 million tons of food thrown away every year in Europe alone. Although only 5% of food waste is generated in commerce, SPAR Hungary treats its reduction as an important part of its sustainability program, which is why it joined the Munch food rescue initiative.
Munch, one of the most innovative food rescue companies in our country, has been a strategic partner of SPAR Hungary since last November. The initiative, which is available through an application and a website, offers a quick and convenient means of saving food. All you have to do is book the selected package on the free downloadable mobile application or via the website, pay online, and then you can pick it up in the store within a specified time frame. This makes it possible for food products remaining on the supply side, but still of good quality, to reach consumers at a much cheaper price than the market price.
